A recent study by DataScience has revealed the 13 worst intersections in Orange County based on data collected from the California Highway Patrol's traffic record system.
The #1 and #2 most dangerous intersections in Orange County are both located in Stanton, where twenty seven collisions occurred from November 2014 to October 2015. Stanton also tied for the #7 spot, resulting in a total of 34 collisions... a significant number in the city that has only about 40,000 residents.
However, according to the report's data that was published by the OC Weekly, Mission Viejo's dangerous intersections involved a whopping 46 traffic collisions.
The data indicates that Stanton and Mission Viejo had 80 accidents- nearly 3 times the number of accidents that occurred at the remaining "dangerous" intersections in the rest of Orange County, as identified in the report.
A map plotting the accident frequency shows how the accidents are clustered across Orange County.
If you have been involved in a collision at a dangerous intersection that resulted in an injury, you should consider contacting an attorney with experience in dealing with insurance companies and in handling auto accidents.
